The combination of isocyanates or thioisocyanates with alkynes (attached hydrogen) may result in an exothermic reaction to form urethane compounds across C-C triple bond (Personal communication with chemical industry experts). This is due to the fact that the alkyne hydrogens are more acidic than alcohol hydrogens that initiate this same sort of reaction. Caution should be used before proceeding. Further research of comparable examples in the literature or very small scale, carefully controlled experiments may be needed to fully assess compatibility.
