Hazard Predictions

- Potentially hazardous: May be hazardous but unknown
Given the explosive nature of nitro-organic compounds it is possible that the combination of these materials with weak reducing agents may result in a sensitization of the nitro-organic toward intense reaction or explosion.
Inorganic reductants may liberate flammable H2 gas upon exposure to nitro compounds (Predicted). Nitro compounds are weak acids due to the electron withdrawing capacity of the nitro group, along with being strong oxidizing agents and therefore may induce generation of flammable hydrogen. However, given the nature of members of the weak reducing agents group it is unlikely that hazardous kinetic conditions would arise at STP.
