Hazard Predictions
- Potentially hazardous: May be hazardous but unknown
When combined, strong oxidizers and anhydrides may react with intensity, potentially releasing CO2 or SO2 gas (Predicted). However, no specific evidence was found for a hazardous reaction between weak oxidizers and anhydrides. Because of the nature of the members of the Weak Oxidizing Agents group we would not expect reaction kinetics to yield hazardous conditions. We urge chemists to perform testing to ensure that hazards do not occur under conditions appropriate to the scenario.
