Diazomethane can react with molybdenum cyclopentadienyl tricarbonyl hydride, [(C5H5)MoH(CO)3], to form molybdenum methyl cyclopentadienyl tricarbonyl, [(C5H5)Mo(CO)3(CH3)], with release of N2 gas (Salzer, A. 2010. Organometallic Compounds. Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry (Online)).
A mixture of dimethylaminodimethyl arsine and diazomethane foams vigorously when trimethyltin chloride is added (Krommes, P. et al. 1976. Journal of Organometallic Chemistry 110:195-200).
