Hazard Predictions

- Intense or explosive reaction: Reaction may be particularly intense, violent, or explosive
TNT reacts violently with reducing agents (Lewis, R.J., Sr. 1992. Sax's Dangerous Properties of Industrial Materials, 8th Edition. New York: Van Nostrand Reinhold. pp. 3426.).
Inorganic reductants may liberate flammable H2 gas upon exposure and nitro compounds (Predicted). Nitro compounds are weak acids due to the electron withdrawing capacity of the nitro group, along with being strong oxidizing agents and therefore may induce generation of flammable hydrogen (Personal communication with chemical industry experts).
